How do I find the model and serial number?

The model number and serial number for your Kamado Joe grill can be found in the owner’s manual that comes included with your grill. You can also locate the serial number and date code found on a red sticker on the back of the base of your unit.  

For Konnected Joe units this can be found on the metal plate on the back of the unit. 

How do you reach Customer Support?

Customer support can be reached by creating a customer support ticket at the Contact Us page.

Warranty support requires a product registration be completed prior to receiving assistance. To register your product, please visit our Product Registration page.

How do you register your warranty?

Please visit our Registration Page to register your Kamado Joe product for warranty protection. Please be aware that you will need a copy of your receipt when registering your product, so be sure to hold onto your physical and/or virtual receipt after purchase.

Where to purchase?

Kamado Joe products can be purchased on our website and from major independent and select retailers are all over the world. Use our handy dealer locator page to find a Kamado Joe dealer near you.

How to find manual?

If you have lost the manual for your grill and/or it was not in the box, please go to our Instruction Manuals page and search using your model number. You may also go to the individual product page on this site and click on “Support”.

Proper Maintenance and Care
Shipping Information:

Kamado Joe ships within the United States and Canada (except for Hawaii and Alaska). Inclement weather is an exception that could potentially impact shipping expected delivery dates. Tracking information will be provided for orders. Orders will not be shipped to a post office box. All KamadoJoe.com orders with purchases totaling $200 USD ($275 CAD) or more before tax, qualify for Free Standard Shipping within the contiguous U.S. and Canada (excluding Hawaii and Alaska).

Big Joe / Classic Joe Table Requirements

MATERIALS: Ensure the materials used are non-combustible and can handle high temperatures.

BASE: Ensure the Kamado Joe ceramic feet are used to create an air gap underneath the base of the grill. Do NOT place the grill directly on the table surface without an air gap.

ACCESS: Ensure there is front access so that the Ash Drawer is not blocked.

CLEARANCE: Ensure there is space between the top of the table and the edge of the grill. The table top SHOULD NOT make direct contact with the grill.

Konnected Joe Table Requirements

MATERIALS: Ensure the materials used are non-combustible and can handle high temperatures.

BASE: Ensure there is a hole 12.25in (32cm) in diameter directly underneath the grill to allow cool air to reach the
bottom of the grill. Use caution, sparks and hot ash can reach the bottom of the grill.
Note: the Kamado Joe ceramic feet are not to be used in absence of the hole under the grill. The hole is required and
the ceramic feet are NOT compatible with Konnected Joe.

ACCESS: Ensure there is rear access to the main power switch. Ensure there is front access so that the Kontrol
Board or Ash Drawer are not blocked.

CLEARANCE: Ensure there is space between the top of the table and the edge of the grill. The table top SHOULD
NOT make direct contact with the grill.

Use Kamado Joe ceramic feet to create an air gap under Big Joe and Classic Joe grills.

Kamado Joe ceramic feet are not to be used in absence of a hole under a Konnected Joe Grill. The hole is required and the ceramic feet are NOT compatible with Konnected Joe.

What is the Konnected Joe™ Digital Charcoal Grill and Smoker?

The Konnected Joe is the very first Kamado Joe grill to offer built-in digital controls to provide a digitally connected ceramic grilling experience. Light your charcoal with the push of a button and control and monitor your cooks via the Kontrol Board or the Kamado Joe app. The Konnected Joe also offers the standard Kamado Joe innovation with the 2-Tier Divide & Conquer® Cooking System, Slide-Out Ash Drawer, Air Lift™ Hinge and more.

How does the Konnected Joe work?
  1. 1. The Automatic Fire Starter (AFS) ignites charcoal quickly with the push of a button via heating element inside the grill.
  2. 2. Kontrol Board™ allows the user to set and monitor cook modes, grill temperature, meat probes, and session graphing. Connect to the Kamado Joe app via WiFi.
  3. 3. The Digital Fan maintains and regulates temperature consistency throughout the cook by generating airflow through the grill interior. You may also use Classic Cook mode for a traditional Kamado Joe grilling experience.
What accessories come in the box?

The Konnected Joe™ will come standard with the 2-Tier Divide & Conquer® Flexible Cooking System, accessory rack, 2 ceramic heat deflectors, 2 stainless steel cooking grates, ash tool, grill gripper, and 1 meat probe.

Compatible Accessories

The Konnected Joe is compatible with most Classic Joe® series sized accessories (Classic Joe Charcoal Basket NOT compatible with the Konnected Joe grill).

Can a Konnected Joe fit in an outdoor kitchen?

Yes, the Konnected Joe can be built into an outdoor kitchen. Simply remove the screws from the cart and use your product as a standalone grill (see user manual for more details).

What is the temperature range on a Konnected Joe?

The Konnected Joe can sear at high heats up to 700° F or cook low and slow at 225°F temperatures.

What app is used with the Konnected Joe?

Use the official Kamado Joe App in order to set your grill temperature, cooking times and discovering
new recipes.

What is the Joe Jr cart made out of?

The cart is made from heavy-duty powder coated steel so it can withstand the elements.

How tall will the Joe Jr be when it is in the cart?

The cart raises the cooking height of the Joe Jr to 31 inches off the ground.

How many shelves does the Joe Jr Cart have?

3 shelves – two folding side shelves with tool hooks and a bottom shelf large enough for all Joe Jr cooking accessories.

Will my Joe Jr cover still fit if I use the cart?

Yes, the Joe Jr Cover (KJ15080420) is compatible even with your Joe Jr installed into the cart!

1. Our Big Joe Heat Deflectors can be used on the lower tier of the cooking rack.

2. All Classic Joe cooking surfaces will fit on top of the firebox.

Care & Warranty

1. An ash drawer gives you an easy, quick clean up compared to other kettle grills.

2. We always recommend you protect your grill with a cover, but the coating on the grill will prevent it from rusting. It will only rust if the porcelain coating chips.

Differences between Kamado Joe Ceramic grills vs Kettle Joe

Our Classic and Big Joe grill bodies are entirely made of ceramic, while the Kettle Joe has ceramic inserts, but a traditional kettle body made up of steel. The Kettle Joe features a ceramic firebox for improved heat
retention and durability.

How to Light Your Kamado Joe Grill How To | Cool Down Your Kamado Joe Grill 

Gaps between the firebox walls of your Kamado Joe are caused by normal expansion and contraction from heat. While they may look concerning, as long as the gaps aren't causing performance issues, it's usually not a major concern. Remember, with proper registration, should any issue arise, our friendly and knowledgeable customer service agents are happy to take a look.
