Take a trip to the Mediterranean with these delicious ground beef and lamb kebabs with a tangy yogurt sauce. Packed with flavor, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner and leftovers heat up easily the next day. This grilling recipe from Embers Only BBQ was made on the Kamado Joe Classic Joe II kamado grill.

Combine all sauce ingredients. Can be held in the refrigerator one day in advance if needed.

- Juice of one lemon
- 2 teaspoons Berbere seasoning
- A few heavy pinches of salt
- Fresh cracked pepper, to taste

Preheat grill to 400-450˚F

In large bowl, combine meat ingredients and seasonings.

- 2 pounds Ground beef
- 2 pounds Ground lamb
- 1 tablespoon Berbere seasoning
- 1 tablespoon Cumin
- 1 tablespoon Sumac
- 1 tablespoon Kosher salt
- Fresh cracked pepper, to taste

Fashion meat onto skewers in long, even cylinders, approximately 1 inch thick.

Lightly brush all sides of meat with olive oil to speed up browning process so the meat will not stick to the grates.

Total cook time will be roughly 7-10 minutes with at least one flip around the 3-5 minute mark. Do not turn skewers until meat touching grates has browned or the skewers may fall apart. It can be helpful to use a spatula with your tongs for this step.

Once the meat is browned all over and cooked through, remove from heat.

Immediately toss naan or pita bread onto the grill for 20-30 seconds/side to warm.
