This Balsamic Maple Onion Turnover combines caramelized onions, fresh thyme, and a delightful blend of balsamic vinegar and maple syrup, all wrapped in flaky puff pastry. This delightful turnover will bring a gourmet touch to any gathering, making it an irresistible addition to your menu.

Stabilize your grill at 350°F and allow a soapstone to come to temperature.

Slice the yellow onion thinly, ensuring slices are no longer than 2 inches.

Oil the soapstone and place the onion slices on it, allowing them to sear for a few minutes until caramelized.

Once caramelized, push the onions to the far side of the stone.

Trace or score a rectangle inside the puff pastry where the ingredients would lay.

Push the onions back to the far side of the stone and top stone with parchment.

Splash the parchment with a bit of oil, balsamic, maple syrup, fresh thyme and top with the onions.

Cover all with the puff pastry.

Paint the top side of the pastry with egg wash and crimp the edges with a fork.

Close the dome and cook for 5 minutes.

Open the dome and season the side facing up with the honey sriracha seasoning.
