01
Score your steaks and season with salt, pepper, and your preferred steak seasoning.
-
02
Clean out any remaining ash in the firebox from a previous cook. Old ash can prevent the charcoal from proper ignition. It is recommended to use your ash tool to scrape and clean out the firebox and ash drawer. Do this while the unit is cold.
-
03
Add charcoal to the firebox.
-
04
Place one side of your cooking grates on the second tier of the Divide and Conquer.
-
05
Close the bottom vent fully. ATTENTION! When running the grill in automatic mode, the bottom vent should be closed completely at all times.
-
06
Close the dome.
-
07
Power on your grill with the switch on the rear. Power on your controller.
-
08
Set your temperature on your controller to 350°F and position the vents as described.
-
09
Press the AFS (automatic fire starter) button to engage the element to ignite the charcoal. The element is ON when the red light is glowing. The element will stay on for 15 minutes. Press and hold the AFS button again to turn the element OFF if desired.
-
10
Place your steaks directly on the cooking grates. Close the dome and cook steaks for 15 minutes on each side. It is recommended to cook your steak until it reaches an internal temperature of 145°F.
-
11
Once steaks reach your desired temperature, remove from the grill. Let rest for 5-10 minutes.
-
12
Slice the steaks and enjoy!
